Timothy Diehl

Career Planning Expert

Timothy Diehl is principal of NewDiehl Consulting and recently completed a 12-year tenure as director of career planning at Bowdoin College. Tim brings more than 25 years of experience in private higher education and the for-profit sector. After beginning his career in undergraduate admissions with Carnegie Mellon University, he accrued more than a decade of experience in brand management, marketing, and new product consulting for companies including Georgia Pacific, The Danone Group, and Unilever. During his 12-year tenure at Bowdoin, Tim has led the reimagining of the College’s career planning services. Through strategic planning, operational leadership and stakeholder management, he oversaw implementation of a career planning approach that has served as a model for many liberal arts colleges.

Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
