The Rise of U.S.-Born Latino Youth: Educational Attainment, Economic Engagement Reach New Highs

The demographics of the nation’s Latino population are changing. Immigration from Latin America has slowed just as a new generation of U.S.-born Latinos is entering adulthood. This young group is attending college in record numbers, is more likely to speak only English, is driving U.S. labor force growth, and is poised to improve the economic situation of the group. This session will explore these changes and outline the new narrative that describes the nation’s largest minority group.
